Robin Korevaar

Robin currently teaches all levels Vinyasa Flow and gentle yoga in the Hatha tradition at Namah Shivaya studio and has a small private studio of adult students ages 25-60 years. She enjoys working with students of all ages, and teaches yoga for youth ages 3-17 at Namah Shivaya Studio, Dallas Academy for Music & Performing Arts (DAMPA), and Northpark Mall. Robin’s brings to the studio her rich experience as an endurance athlete, social worker, and student of the Alexander Technique (a practice used by many performers and athletes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in movement). Her wellness class for emerging performers at DAMPA makes use of her full range of skills.

Connection with breath and flow are central to her instruction style, as is efficient use of one’s musculoskeletal system: Robin delights in helping yoga students find greater line, ease, and balance in their practice. Her classes offer creative sequences that encourage freedom, exploration, flexibility, and strength in mind, body, and spirit.

Ms. Korevaar completed her RYT 200 training at Namah Shivaya studio in Dallas (October 2017) and her RCYT through Yogees Yoga for Kids (May 2018). She is registered with the Yoga Alliance (with CPR certification and liability insurance), and is available for group, private, and semi-private lessons.

Robin Korevaar instructs the following:
  • Kids Yoga
  • Children learn through play, but unfortunately many are already feeling the effects of a busy, stressed out society. Using songs, stories, and rhymes to maintain interest, this class will incorporate poses for strength, flexibility, balance, and overall health. We will also work on deep breathing, focused attention, cooperation, and relaxation. Most importantly, the kids get to have fun and shine like the stars they are!

  • All Levels
  • This class is moderately active with the intention to challenge you a bit more than the gentle class, but still provide enough opportunity for modifications and variations so any practitioner can attend and benefit.
